I know what you mean. When I was in the middle of a dispute with the manager of my bank and she called me sweety I flipped. I told her that unless she was attempting to pick my up she’d better not use that word with me again because we both knew that it was just a substitute for what she really wanted to call me

This drives me crazy, too! I have a friend who does this all the time. Usually it’s because her beloved dog has just escaped through his invisible fence and is heading for the highway, or because friends have arrived to fetch their kids who are playing with her kids…but I’d almost rather she just said, “Whoops, gotta go! Talk to you soon!” rather than, “I’ll call you right back.”I just hate hanging around waiting for the phone to ring. Maybe because it takes me back to those high school days, waiting for a boy to call.

Every single time I wear my shirt, someone comes up to me and says, “I love that!” or, “What a great quote.” or, “Where did you get that shirt?!” It’s a big hit with everyone.
